Summer Interns Needed!

Intern in the US and Abroad with Ubuntu At Work!

Looking for Adventure? Interested in Development or Women's Rights? Want to acquire on-the-ground experience with an international NGO?

Ubuntu at Work, a US NGO, collaborates with poor rural women living on less than $2/day.  With the help of field staff and volunteers around the world, we help the women gain new capabilities, collaboratively develop green products they can make at their homes or in a Ubuntu Workspace located near them, and finally, we help them market these products around the world. The end goal is to give them the tools to become successful entrepreneurs.

Ubuntu at Work currently operates 10 workspaces in South India, and 3 workspaces in South Africa (one each in Limpopo, Gauteng, and the Eastern Cape). We are looking for volunteer interns to work THIS SUMMER:

* at these workspaces in India or South Africa (4 weeks in the field)
* to assist us in marketing our products in the US (particularly California and New York City) or any major city in Europe (10 weeks)
* to help us expand our operations to poor areas of the American South.  We are looking for a volunteer intern based in the Deep South who can help us with this process.  (8 weeks in the field)
